In ‘Dismissed…But Still Relevant’ I talk about being in the deep end and better being the goal…not bitter. We find out who we really are and what we really believe and how deep that belief is when we go through some stuff. It’s easy to have faith when things are going well…but when we get hit with curve balls and maybe even one right after another…what do we do…what do our external and/or internal selves look like…are they the same or different…spiritual or worldly…are we feeling defeated or hopeful, in the midst of the tears…are we stomping our feet or falling down on our knees…are we throwing our hands up in disgust or in praise, no matter what it looks like…the lifting of our voice…who gets the glory out of that…God, us or the adversary…

We learn a lot about who we are when we go through the tough stuff. The important piece is being honest with ourselves about what we see within ourselves and being open to change. If we are tested in such a way again…our grade or behavior certainly shouldn’t be the same or worse…but hopefully much better this time around...more faith-filled, forgiving and loving, in spite of… We don’t want our time in the deep end to be for naught…we want to learn whatever it is that we are supposed to learn or complete whatever assignment we’ve been tasked with, as a result of…and keep it moving, up, not around that mountain. God already knows how strong we are…I believe He allows us to go through some things so that we and others can witness a level of strength that seems supernatural, in some cases, as He prepares us for our purpose. Keep the faith, as my aunt would say…don’t ever let anyone steal that…
