To me…it’s the greatest assignment of them all
Whether the miracle of carrying a child…and/or caring for one
The Motherhood Assignment…
Really is the greatest of them all
It comes with phases and varying degrees of heartfelt joy and heaviness
A Mother’s Love can feel its child’s joy…and pain
Expressions of a Mother’s Love comes in different forms
But at the core…it’s unmovable…unshakeable
Some of us are blessed to get that unconditional love from our birth mothers
For others…it comes through a grandmother…an auntie…a godmom…
Or perhaps someone who’s not even in the same tribe…
But they’ve been assigned to give a chosen child something that only comes from God
The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:3 that children are a heritage and gift from God
He chooses the vessel in which a mother’s unconditional love…His love…Agape love…is delivered…but we get to choose how we express it
I’ve been blessed to have a Praying Mama…who had the capacity to love others as her own
Her love runs through me from the other side of Glory…to my children and others that I’ve been assigned to
Mother’s aren’t perfect…but God is…
And because He created them…He knows our children better than we do
He knows the plans He has for their lives
He knows about their brokenness in hidden places
He knows how to heal, restore and make them whole again
He is the One Who Can Save, Deliver and Set Them Free and Free Indeed…in mind, body, and spirit
Motherhood is an assignment to a soul filled with purpose
Our children need us…all the days of their lives…from childhood to adulthood
When things are going well and when they’re not…
Our children need our unconditional love…and our continued conversations with God…
Declaring His Promises, Protection, Provision and Purpose over their lives…their children…children’s children…and so on and so forth…until the end of time
Whether you are a birth mom or have the ‘heart’ of one…with a Motherhood Assignment...
