Gifted With Another…

If you’re reading this…you…like I…have been gifted with another year

Some of us have been blessed with many more than others

We’ve lived through some ‘what in the world’ moments…and yet stand to tell the story

When I look back over my life…I don’t wonder how I got over…I know without a doubt

I’m not strong enough in my natural to have endured all that God has seen me through

In all honesty…had my parents not introduced me to Jesus Christ…

And had I not grown my relationship with and faith in Him…

Who knows who I’d be…or where I’d be

We turn to different things in our challenging and darkest moments

It can be people, places or things…that we turn to in our weakest moments, which often determines the outcome

Prayer…having a conversation with God has been and continues to be my go to

But God has also blessed me with very special people in my life that He uses to make sure I feel His love through them

They remind me of who and Whose I am…and that my life has a purpose and makes a difference in the lives of others

We are all created with a purpose and experiencing the fullness of Joy is an indescribable feeling when you are doing what you were created to do

It’s very easy to get distracted from it or to stop seeking what it is…and why it is…that you’ve been created

So, as the distractions continue to come…which they will…other assignments will come at the same time and be necessary to handle…

Even in the midst of...we must stay focused and help each other to stay focused…continuing to Look Up and Keep The Faith

Remember that…just because they are…doesn’t mean you have to be

Stay anchored…even in emotional times…don’t let your emotions speak for you

My mom used to remind me to count to 10 before saying anything…now I know that she was teaching me not to give my emotions permission to speak for me

She’d also remind me that things aren’t always as though they seem

I often found…and still find…that by the time I counted to 10…there was a shift in my perspective of the situation...or control over my emotions

I’ve got to be honest with you…sometimes I found it necessary to do several repetitions of counting to 10…when one didn’t seem to be enough…Lol

So in this New Year that is filled with uncertainty…and promise…

Focus on the promise and The One Who can handle the uncertainty better than we can

Seek your purpose in this season…and when you find it…or continue to walk in it…

I have no doubt that you will bring light in all the places and spaces that you’ve been assigned to and are blessed to have you

Our collective light will overpower darkness so that we can all see clearly…I believe that

No matter what we hear, see, feel or think…we cannot stop believing that The One Who created us all, is bigger than all of this…and is able to handle it all

As we trust God to show us what it is that He wants us to do…in partnership with Him…in this season…

We can remind ourselves that God is Love…Agape Love…unconditional and different from any other type of love…because it just is…no matter what
