Our Struggle...Someone Else's Deliverance

Our struggle can result in someone else’s deliverance…watching what we go through and how we go through it could give someone watching hope when they’ve lost it and don’t know what to do…our actions…how we handle things…teach…without saying. Some people don’t know anything about faith, church, or how believing on God works or what it looks like. Some know, but the way they’ve been treated by others who go to church, on a regular, has ruined it for them. We may be the only church they know and if that is so, their deliverance may depend on us representing the One we serve, well. When our lives are changed and we are delivered from things that hold us captive…mind, body and soul…the change doesn’t just affect our lives, it trickles around and down through generations to come. That is a powerful thought…to think that God can use us to change the history of entire generations of families by loving others as He loves us. In order to do that with our hearts and not our mouths, though, we must forgive. Anger and forgiveness can’t coexist. When we have forgiveness in our hearts, it melts the anger away. If you have worked your way through the forgiving process and continue the act of forgiving from this day forward…it will reflect itself in your conversation…the way you look, feel and treat others. There will be something different about you that people may not be able to put their finger on…but you’ll know that it’s peace…and depending on the offense that you’ve had to forgive…it may be a peace beyond everyone else’s understanding…even your own.
Allow your struggles to become someone else’s deliverance…be their living example...allow them to see you keep the faith and grow spiritually, regardless of what is happening in your life…let them see you keep getting up, every time you are knocked down…not bitter, but better. They need to see you stand strong and in a posture of gratitude and praise, even when they see the tornado swirling all around you…they need to know that God is real and that His love in you is for real.
