To Love And Cherish…Don’t Forget The Cherish Part…Many of us can say that we have been loved…but not as many can say that we know what it feels like to be cherished. That’s a whole other level of love that is worth waiting for…don’t settle…wait for the cherish part. I believe that marriage can be real good when the love is real…not the surface kind…but that deep…for better or worse…in sickness and health…for richer or poorer…no matter what you look like as the years pass…kind of love…that unconditional…you made a mistake…were remorseful and never did it again because you couldn’t stand to see the love of your life hurting, so you were forgiven…kind of love…you know…that you take the last…kind of love.

But to be blessed with someone in your life that cherishes you is beyond explanation…you just know it when it’s there. It goes some place beyond the love. Clearly the Cherish Part of marriage…to adore, appreciate, value, treasure…was important and distinctive or it wouldn’t have had to be called out separately in the vows…it would have been inclusive in the love piece…To love…but that’s not all there is to it…To Love And Cherish. They may love you…but do they cherish you…you may love them…but do you cherish them…Don’t ignore the ‘And Cherish’ Part…it’s an important piece that gets us to the ‘until death do us part’ piece.
