Devastation can come in many forms…some we get over…some we have no choice but to learn to live with

Devastation can come in many forms…some we get over…some we have no choice but to learn to live with. Devastation…as the result of a consequence…or completely out of our control… is always worse than any image formed in our minds…I guess that’s what makes it Devastation.

Devastation…by itself…can’t get the best of us…it is our choice to fight through it or let it overtake us…to use the circumstances of the Devastation to adjust our focus from looking down and around…to deliberately and consistently looking up…that’s where the real help comes from…the One Who created us.

It may not look like it or feel like it…in the midst of…but if you keep moving and believing…even though you can’t see any manifestation of anything that looks like the prayer that you’ve been waiting for God to answer…just know…that He is working on your behalf behind the scenes. Don’t stop believing until you see what you’re believing God for.

Sometimes, we give up too soon…when it gets hard. I find that that is when it’s easiest to say to God…I trust You to handle this for me. Now, we can’t just say that for some form or fashion…we have to mean it…Faith over Fear.

In the midst of all of the devastation that we’ve seen in just a few short weeks, the genuine love, care and concern that strangers have had for each other, has been heartwarming to watch. We continue to pray for all who have experienced the Devastation caused by Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Earthquakes, Fires, Senseless Acts of Violence, etc. We also pray for the first responders and all who continue to volunteer their time, talent and treasures to help those impacted. We pray for the gift of peace, some sense of comfort and that every need created by the Devastation…that can be met…to be met.

Devastation can linger for a long time…but…if we keep moving…it loses its power...
