Love Really Is Powerful…

When it comes from the heart…and not just the mouth…

It can change people…their lives and the lives of all who are connected to them.

Loving someone through difficulty…is difficult…but if it is an assignment given to us by God…then His love, through us, ensures that our efforts will not be in vain.

I believe that before we can really love…as we were created to…we have to practice forgiveness…everyday…and have an understanding of what forgiveness really is…and its purpose for positioning ourselves to give…and receive…authentic love.

Forgiveness isn’t designed for us to be doormats…but for our healing…so that we can be instrumental and effective in our Divinely appointed life assignments.

‘I love you’ flows out of our mouths quite easily these days…it’s important and can be impactful to hear those words…but it’s what comes after the words…that can make or break us.

And so we circle back to forgiveness and the cleansing of our hearts, so that there are no blockages to impede the free flow of God’s love through us…flowing like a water fall…spilling into the atmosphere all around us...walking in it…

Everywhere we are…it is…love…the for-real kind.

If we are honest about it…if it were up to us…there are some people that we would refuse to love, with what would seemingly be…good justification…

But for those of us who have dedicated our lives to God…it’s not up to us…the Bible is very clear about the fact that we should love all people…just as He loves us all…with our imperfect selves.

I enjoyed watching the Royal Wedding…the verbal and non-verbal evidence of love and its power to consume anything that gets in its way…
