When the storm is over…we just don’t know…

Before the storm…after some preparation...

All we can do is pray…

We just don’t know what’s to come…

Or what will be…when the storm is over…

If not the wind…then perhaps the rain…

And/or the flood waters left behind…

Can take their toll on…all…around us…

Even on…some of us…or those connected to us…

We just don’t know…but during the storm…

We realize what’s most important to us…

The people…or things…that we were most concerned about…

We realize that even with the devastation of losing things…

If we are still able to reach out and touch…

Hear the voice of our loved ones or receive a text…

God is worthy of some gratitude…

Because it did not have to be that way…and is not…for some…

Some things are replaceable…

The restoration process may be long and frustrating…

But continue to trust God for His favor and that of man…

Thank God that restoration is an option…

For some…the loss or losses that they have endured…

Can’t be replaced…it is not an option…

There are no words that are adequate to comfort the loss of those that we love…

Watching over those who are grieving the loss…praying for and with them…

Fulfilling their needs while their heart aches…

And their mind processes what was…and what now is…

Flooding their grief with as much love, care and concern as we can give…

While God works His peace, His comfort and His strength to carry on…inside of them…

When the storm is over…we just don’t know…

Where we’ll be…

Or even who we’ll be in the aftermath…stronger…or beat down…

Stand strong, though…and know that you are not alone…

There is a Source with much more Power than any storm that He allows…

Why did He allow it…some might ask…

We don’t know…but we thank God for what He didn’t allow…

There are many more miracles that are being reported…than losses…

Often what we experience as a loss…isn’t…

Not to the one who has been called…or to The One who has called them home…

May God be everything that those impacted by the storm need Him to be…

And may He continue to bless the First Responders and Good Samaritans…

As they become ‘the blessing’ for those in need…
