Never forgetting…what we’ve been through…

Never forgetting…what we’ve been through…

Some of us have been through some stuff…

And would very much like to forget it ever happened…

As life moves us further away from any unpleasant…or devastating event

No-one wants to revisit that…physically…mentally…nor emotionally…

And that is totally understandable

But what we have to be careful not to forget is…

Where we were spiritually, compared to where we are now…

If we grew stronger…in our belief…our faith…

Details of how we made it through to the other side…

Or how we continue to stand no matter what…

Somebody needs those details to get them through…

Somebody needs to see and/or hear from us…a testimony…

So that they know that there is a living example of what they can’t see…

But hope for…

An example of what having faith looks like

Did the experience change us into a better version of ourselves…

As we made our way through the hurt, pain and even disappointment

We can’t forget how we felt when were going…

Coming or simply standing through it all

Just a glimpse…is all we need… of our time in the deep end…

It reminds us to be compassionate for the ones still making their way through

It’s those glimpses that give us wisdom and insight…

A reminder of the Divine strategy of deliberate and unceasing prayer…

That it took to keep and make us stronger…

Flowing with the wind…and no longer knocked down by it

Keeping our branches…connected to The Vine…

Even during the most difficult storms and pruning seasons

But while others go through their own season of pruning…

The process of being cut back…

While being positioned to grow more…

For the purpose of producing more…

We can offer water…but not Living Water…

We can offer bread…but not that of Life…

We can offer comfort…but not like The Comforter…

We can offer prayer…but only God can answer them…

We offer what we can…until one can get for themselves…

The Living Water…

The Bread of Life…

The Comforter…

And can solicit answers to their own prayers

Don’t ever forget what you’ve gone through…

It keeps us humble…and compassionate…

Reminding us…to keep the porch light on

With every key position comes training…

The tests to move to another level aren’t always easy…

But those of us who use the tools we’ve been given…

With determination…to study and pass whatever test that come…

Become the trainers…

That’s the purpose…of never forgetting…what we’ve been through…

To help another…get through…

And become a trainer…for another…
