That we miss their weak moments…

Those moments when they need us

As our parents…siblings…children…spouses…

Family…significant others…friends…pastors…

Church family…co-workers…caretakers…

All who are there for us…and those we love…

Whenever we need them…when it’s obvious we do…

And even those times when pride won’t let us admit it…

But…they know…and are always there

The ‘strong one’s’ strength is displayed in many different ways…

Some make their presence known…like a strong wind…

They come in and handle whatever it is

Others are like a soft breeze…

The way they handle it is subtle…but impactful

Pay attention to your ‘strong ones’

Let them know you see them…appreciate them…their effort

Remember them in your prayers

Let them know…every now and then…

That you are there for them…too

Nobody wants to be or is strong all the time…

Some of us have been called to be shoulders for others…

But sometimes that tall shoulder can appreciate…

Leaning in on another…just for a little respite…

Every now and then

The ultimate joy of a ‘strong one’…

Is that moment when you realize…

That the one that used to lean on you for strength…

Has become a ‘strong tower’ for someone else…
