Taking time…for granted

We plan for tomorrow…next week…

Next month…even next year…

Without knowing if it will ever come

Sometimes, I wonder if we spend so much time…planning…

That we miss the right here…right now…

Being present in this moment…

The one that we can be sure of

Grateful for what is today…

While always remaining hopeful…

With more gratitude tomorrow…

For the gift of tomorrow…if or when it comes

Sometimes we focus more on the losses in life…

Than the gains of…because it was

Time…is our life

It didn’t come with a limited or extended warranty…

We are allowed to ask for more time…

But only tomorrow will tell…if our request was granted

Don’t take the time you’ve been gifted…today…

For granted…don’t stick it on a shelf…

With good intentions of using it tomorrow

Don’t put plastic on it…allow it to breathe…

And enjoy every moment of it

Every morning that we wake up…it’s a gift
