COVID-19 has reminded us of some things…

COVID-19 has reminded us of some things…
We are not in control…and that…
All around this world…we are connected
What one does affects another…in the best and worst of ways
When squeezed…for some of us…the worst comes out
And for others the best of who we really are…rises to the surface
The sacrifices made to save the life of another…or…
The sacrifices of lives…for a dollar…are on display for all to see
It’s an eye opening experience…a glimpse into our hearts
Those who care enough to keep themselves…
All connected to them…and those that aren’t…safe
And those who couldn’t care less about themselves…
Children of the world…their fathers, mothers or grandparents
COVID-19 is a silent killer, whose trigger could dwell in any one of us
We are the only ones who can silence it…by covering its ways of escape…
Washing our hands…just in case it makes its way out…
And keeping our distance from family and friends…just for a time…
So that we don’t have to hear stories like I heard this morning...it grieved my heart
9 family members with the virus…7 remaining and in the hospital…2 on the other side of Glory
Prayers are needed...unceasingly...for everyone, everywhere...for blessings at each point of need
It takes discipline to do things a different way
I’ve had to master physical distancing for 7 years
I have a disability that requires it…I know that God has been with me
But He has required my participation in my healing process…
It’s not magical…surely, He can heal us suddenly
But for some of us…it’s a slow roll…
So that we can learn what we need to know for 7 years later…
When we would need to encourage others…though for a different reason…
But are walking the same walk…by Faith…because by sight just doesn’t work
The challenge is to make sure that no matter what you hear, see or feel…
On the other side of this…you come out with more of the things that don’t cost money
More forgiveness, more love, more compassion, more empathy, more time for loved ones…
And most of all…More Faith…holding onto that…has gotten me through everything else...
Keep the Faith!!!
