I’ve lived long enough to know…
If it feels too tight…it is
Though looking at the same thing…what we see…is not
True friendship doesn’t come within the boundaries of an app
My experiences come with built in shades…
That automatically affect how I see things
To love…for real…and to be loved…for real…
Are the sweetest gifts of all
I’ve lived long enough to know…
That a friend today…may not be one tomorrow
And one that wasn’t yesterday…may be one today
That my days on this side of Glory…get shorter with every “good morning”
To not take people, places, or things for granted
And that my existence is not happenstance…but purposeful
I’ve lived long enough to know…
That I don’t know much of anything
But I have faith in the One who is always in the know
And is my source of discernment…revelation, wisdom, and guidance
But most of all…Peace…beyond even my own understanding
May His Peace be with you too, is my prayer
I’ve lived long enough to know...
How to live free…in the midst of…
