And yet I still have hope…

When I wake up in the morning these days…

I am even more aware that…

Because we are in the middle of a pandemic…

With no end that the visible eye can see…

I’ve been given a gift that so many weren’t given

Not through any fault of their own

It makes me even more grateful…humble…

To be in the number…one more time

It also gives me a determination…

To be purposeful in my words and deeds…

Throughout my days

To be careful who I lend my ears to

What I allow my eyes to see

And where my feet go

Just because they open it…doesn’t mean we have to go

Who is encouraging us to go…and why

What’s the intent…will it help or hurt us

We shouldn’t keep marching ahead

And over those who’ve fallen

We need to stop…and do something different...

So that lives are saved…not sacrificed

Be careful who you listen to

Be careful what you allow yourself to see

Be careful where you go

All of it is impactful on our lives and those…connected or not…to us

Please don't get too comfortable in the midst of a pandemic

I know it’s been a while…but…

Be disciplined…watch out for…and pray for each other

Take good care of yourself

Live on purpose…even in the midst of…
