Basking in The Son…

Was the theme for Bible Study this morning

This is what flowed from my heart as I meditated on it…

God created them both…the sun and The Son

One warms us from the outside…and the Other within

We can bask in both and for each…

The longer we bask in it…the more we look like it…

You’ll know that we’ve been basking in it

When we bask in the sun…we look like it on the outside

When we bask in The Son…we act like it on the inside…

It shows up in our words and deeds

Some are too busy to bask…but want the end result

Don’t want to put the time in…just the end result

And so one can lie in a tanning bed for a short period of time…

And look like they’ve been basking in the sun…but it’s not the same…

One can also spend some time with The Son

But not bask in Him…making Him our Lord…

So that He is our Savior and we have access to the Comforter…

Which dwells within us…

And as we bask in the Word of the God who made both…

The sun and The Son…as we bask in prayer and worship…

We feel the warmth of His Spirit within us

The more we bask in The Son…the more those around us…

Can feel the spirit of His warmth within us

Everywhere we go…we take His Spirit

The more we bask in The Son…

The more we look like it…in our words and deeds
