“Don’t you dare water down God’s anointing”…

I recently ran across these words that a friend shared with me

They were so powerful at the time...that I wrote them down in the middle of a journal page

I’m not sure what I said that prompted her to put me on notice

But underneath what she said, I wrote…as if it was confirmation…“Anointed”

At the top of the page I’d previously written…

“Who’s around you determines where you go…and if you go”

And at the bottom of the page I’d written…

“Don’t waste time…it’s your life…and you can’t make it up”

As I’m typing this, I am filled with gratitude…for those that surround me

Their determination becomes mine and my determination becomes their’s

It depends on who needs what…when…we remind each other to praise and press

A friend can transform our day with a word or The Word

A call or text in the middle of the day can push us into…or pull us out of…

A friend can remind you who and why you are

They won’t allow you to shrink back from the mountains of life

A friend will not allow you to stop and rest too long

Or slow-walk when they know you need to sprint…to get there…to win

Randomly written on this page were also the words, “I’m just a woman”

And it wasn’t until typing this line that I remember what this was all about

I had been asked to speak along with a panel of other speakers

When I saw the titles of the other speakers…

I said to my friend, “I’m not a Pastor, Prophet or Prophetess…

I’m just a woman who’s been through a few things, and trying to help another”

I couldn’t understand why I had been chosen

Hence her reminder “Don’t you dare water down God’s anointing”

This blog also reminded me that Shepherding is one of my Spiritual Gifts

I believe that we all have Spiritual Gifts and something we’ve been anointed to do…

To make a difference in the lives we live and that of others

And so I leave these words with you, as your reminder…

"Don’t you dare water down God’s anointing”

Even when we can't see it...someone else can...it may or may not make sense

But it's on purpose...for purpose…and has purpose
