Each year I’m reminded…

That last year’s assignments…may not be this year’s

That what was…may not be

And what is…may not have been

That the New Year is a new beginning

Filled with new possibilities…a whole lot of newness

And even for what isn’t brand new…

There are ways that we can make the old…feel and even look new…

In the way we handle ourselves, the people, places and things of our lives…

From a posture of gratitude…even when life doesn’t always feel good…

Look good…and honestly…may not always be good

But the older I get…I realize that there is something that is always good…

That we can point to…in some area or aspect of our lives

And if we can’t see it…it’s not because it’s not there…

We can’t always see the sun, but it doesn’t mean it’s not there

We can’t see the air that we breathe, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there

We can’t even see the God that some of us choose to serve…

But if you believe…you know that He’s always there

We get to choose how we see a thing…

And what happens…within us…as a result of it

Some things we have control over…other things…not so much

But if we are good and grown…responsible for ourselves…

We get to choose our own lifestyle and boundaries…help when and where we need it…

So we can live...delivered, set free and made whole…

No matter what is happening on the outside of us...

Each year we’re reminded…that we’ve been given the gift of seeing another year

Make what you do with it New…Fresh or Refreshed…

Renewed…Rejuvenated…We Get To Make It Like It’s New!
