Finding Our Relevance…

I wrote something previously in my novel, “Dismissed…But Still Relevant” and I would like to share that excerpt with you. You will find it in the chapter entitled, ’Finding Our Relevance’:

The world that we live in can be absolutely beautiful, filled with what seems to be endless love and support. Family, church, work and volunteer time fills our days. But things can change suddenly. When they do, what do we do?

Do we allow ourselves to be consumed by our circumstances or do we praise and press? Do we give up and go with the flow or do we fight? Do we allow the things that are said about us, out of perceptions believed to be true, transform us into someone that we aren’t? Do we allow the rejection of those that don’t want to understand, hurt us to the point of hardening our hearts? No…in certain situations, we may be…dismissed…but we are still relevant!

We can be dismissed in some many different ways…but it only works if we don’t know that we know that we know that we know…that no matter what comes our way…We Are Still Relevant!!
