Determines the affect we have on their lives

The affect we have on their lives…

Determines the change…because of our presence

The change…positive, negative or null…

Is the result of how they see us…real or perceived

When you look in the mirror…how do you see yourself

Do you like what you see…do you accept what you see

Do you focus on ‘what isn’t’ or ‘what was’…or are you just grateful for ‘what is’

Do you look beyond what you see on the outside

Do you like what you see on the inside…can you be honest about what you see

If you’re not sure if how you’re seeing you on the inside is accurate…

You’ll know it by what comes out of you in your relationships…what you gift to others

Whatever we have going on on the inside is what we gift others

It can be joy, inspiration, love, motivation…

Or it can be like a suction cup…if allowed to attach…

It won’t add to…but take away or diminish the joy of another

Some mirrors can be kind to us and some show it like it is

My prayer is that God will help us to see ourselves…

When we look in the mirror…for real

So that we don’t go out looking and acting messed up

But thinking we are okay…when we need healing…

To get to His created version of who we are supposed to be

And the wisdom to know the difference between His version and ours

There are very few things about ourselves that we cannot change

We have to want to, have the courage to and the determination to learn how to

But some changes won’t be lasting without the help of The One who created us

When we ask…He helps…may not look like we want…

But when we trust Him for real…His version is much more beautiful and peaceful...than ours
