In the midst of the distractions…check your markers
I believe that when we become overwhelmed and distracted by life…
God reminds us of what I call markers…reminders of assignments given and completed along our life’s journey
When we are distracted, it’s easy to feel as though we’re flailing in the wind or simply stuck
But when we look back at our markers of life…we realize that even in the midst of the distractions…
We’ve continued to move and lay down more markers along the way
Those markers are our reminders of what God has done within us…and through us
They are reminders of His Power, Grace and Mercy
Those markers are our rest assurance of what God has done in our lives…far beyond our imagination
They are our receipts of what He’s capable of doing, even when we are burdened down by distractions
I have learned that trusting beyond what I can see in the natural…always works out far better than what my natural eyes can see
My Faith delivers me beyond anything my mind can imagine or reimagine or my heart…conceive
When I look back at my markers of life…it’s hard to believe what and how God has brought me through some unimaginable challenges of life
None of us know all of what another has gone through…
But pay attention to the markers that you continue to leave behind…
And if at the end of the day…they’ve served God’s purpose for your life…you’ll have a good report to offer up
When we live on purpose…we live a life of being answers to someone else’s problems
Putting down markers isn’t intentional or even strategic…it just is
When you’re doing your best to live out your assignment…
You have no idea that you’re even laying down markers of life…
Until one day you look back and began to see the pattern and purpose in all of it…good, bad and indifferent
And that even while we are going through our issues of life…when we allow Him to…God uses us to help another through theirs
Thank God for markers…receipts…of what He has…is…and can do in our lives and that of another
May looking back at your markers bring you peace, and encouragement to finish the course with more markers than you can count or remember
Living out your purpose is home to your Peace and Joy
That’s my prayer for you…Peace and Joy within your being...and everywhere you be!!
