My mom’s BirthDay was recently, I thank God for her every day
I thank God for the life she lived before me…and because she taught me about Jesus Christ…
She and my dad equipped me with what I would need to get through my what in the world moments
It’s not enough for us to just get through ours…some of us have been called to help others…even while we are going through
My parents didn’t talk the talk…they walked the walk…they genuinely loved people
I truly believe that they loved others more than they loved themselves
I watched them sacrifice for others…it bothered them to see people hurting or in need
I came across one of my mom’s writings…it was a Bible teaching about the fullness of joy (John 15:11)
In another writing my mom wrote…Anyone who knows me will tell you I am a promoter of peace and good will, cooperative, will make a sacrifice to help anyone in need, a lover of people of all races and creed, the young and old, the poor and needy…
It was my confirmation of where her peace came from…the Holy Spirit on the inside of her…and her confidence in her Calling Statement
My mom’s kind of love wasn’t natural…it had to be a Spiritual thing and there is no doubt that she was born to teach…in and outside of the classroom and born to love
She loved people no matter what…she would tell you about yourself…when necessary… and keep right on loving you
She’s affectionately known as Aunt Fran…if she loved you…you were truly loved and she was in your business…Lol
I understand it now…back then I would watch her worry with concern about what people were or weren’t doing
Her concern was less about people’s behaviors and all about their soul’s salvation…I know that now
That’s why she was sent here and that’s why her love was so special and powerful…then…and now
So, as I read my mom’s Calling Statement, I could see some of the things that God sent my mom to do…and she got it done…
Inside and outside of her home…the classroom…the church…her community
“Well done Thy good and faithful servant…” I can only imagine God saying to her as she stands before Him
He has sent all of us to do a thing that is unique to us…to impact the world
What do you believe you’ve been sent to do…
My Personal Calling Statement is to…
Provide inspiration and pathways of transformation to women whose lives have been paralyzed, or derailed, by the what in the world moments that have changed their lives; share the messages of healing that God flows through my heart, in written and spoken word...messages of inspiration that encourage honesty with ourselves about ourselves, awareness and acknowledgement. Revealing a glimpse of what’s really in our hearts...to create a pathway to forgiveness with the reminder that we are, at times…Dismissed…But Always Still Relevant.
Some people compare themselves to others or think that their calling is insignificant to that of others
And some seem to be living just day to day…unaware that their lives have special significance…
There are impactful things that we are all supposed to be doing…we are the answer to someone’s prayer
As I’ve said many times before…if you don’t know what your purpose is…keep asking the One who created you with it and for it
Know this…just because you may not know what it is yet…doesn’t mean you don’t have one
Keep seeking…that’s the only way you will find it
That’s where we find our peace…wrapped tightly in gratitude…
While seeking, finding and fulfilling our own individual Calling Statements
That’s my prayer for you and yours…and the world that we live in…Peaceful and Purposeful lives
Keep Looking Up!
