The Lives We Live…

The lives we live...

Are we living our lives based on choice…or script

I heard a message that dropped that seed…

It has been growing in me ever since

I looked back over my life and asked myself the question…

Has my life been based on my choices or a script

Doing things based on someone else’s script…

Because it’s always the way it’s been done

Or because it’s the way I’ve always seen it done

Or because it’s the way I’m expected to do or…not do

What I saw as I looked back, was a combination

There was a time that I clearly lived according to script

But I thank God that I saw that the day came when things shifted

And I no longer lived according to script…

But according to what God put in my heart to do…or not do

That’s where I found my freedom

Freedom to be me…my authentic self

Scripts are written through the eyes of the writer

It’s based on their experiences, at a particular moment in time

If the purpose I was created for calls for me to do something different

I can’t know that…or may know and can’t fulfill it…

If I just follow a script of what has always been seen and what’s always been done

We are originals…unique in our gifts, talents and assignments

I do not believe we were created to be limited by a script

God gives us free-will…don’t limit yourself…or allow yourself to be

Living scripted is not based on reality…that’s Existing

Choosing what our life looks like…that’s Living
