What are you doing…why…

Lent Season is my time of fasting, praying and reflection…

From season to season, I learn so much about who I am

And just as important, where I am and where I need to be

It’s a time of quiet and stillness at a different level

It’s an awareness of time and how I’m using…or not using it

If you’re one of my regular readers, you’ve heard it before…

Time is our life…we shouldn’t waste it, because we can’t get it back

Only God can redeem our time and I’m so grateful that redemption is a thing

There is so much going on that ‘makes no sense’

And it really does make you shake your head and question…

‘What in the world’ is going on…then I read my Bible and realize…

There really is nothing new under the sun…

When it comes to the behavior of human beings

We may call it something different and come up with creative ways…

Of doing the same thing a different or more tech savvy way

Behavior that didn’t work well for those in the Bible, doesn’t work well for us today

As we continue to say ‘Good Morning’, we will continue to see…

Things change, some for the better and others, not so much

Each morning we get to choose how we will respond…

To whatever comes our way during the day

Some things will happen because of our choices

And others in spite of them…

We get to choose what we will handle on our own

And what we will ask God to help us with

I have learned that I need Jesus and I’m not ashamed to say it

I know that it’s because of my belief and trust in Him…

That I didn’t drown in the deep end of life

And I’ve come out of many fires, without smelling like smoke

It’s because of that same belief and trust…

That I have this smile on my face and joy in my heart…

Through it all and in spite of much

I want to encourage you to keep looking up

And do what you can to bring light into any dark spaces you encounter

Life is hard, but it isn’t something you have to do alone

If you feel alone, do an assessment of who you have around you

But only after you are honest with yourself, about yourself

We can feel alone, not because we are…

But because of our perception or fences we put up because of offenses…

Only we can take them down so that we can reconnect and love like we were created to

Jesus died so that we could live…not just exist

Because He lived…we can…Because we live…someone else can

May God use you to light a pathway that others can follow out of darkness

And may everything in your life be resurrected this Resurrection Weekend!

Think about it…what are you doing…why…
