“What In The World”…
Sometimes there are no words to explain what we see
Sometimes there are no words to explain what we hear
Sometimes there are no words for what we are experiencing…
Or watching family, friends or even those we don’t know, experience
It is my faith in God that keeps me at peace…
In the midst of an abundance of water, fire, mean-spirited behavior and even a pandemic
I can only wonder…what is it that we are supposed to learn from all of this…
And are we…are we learning what to do or not do to bring about change…deliverance
It doesn’t seem that we have, collectively, because the tests keep coming…
Are we praying enough…are we compassionate, empathetic or wise enough
Are we asking The One who made the earth and everything in it, to have mercy on us…
To help us see ourselves and things as they really are…in assessment and interpretation
I prayed and asked God to take the sting of death out of COVID-19…
And I choose to believe that He did…a way of escape…in the form of a vaccine
I prayed and asked God to protect our children from COVID-19…
During the first wave, it seemed that they were surrounded by His Angels…
But because it’s a partnership, we have a part to play in our children’s protection…
And they don’t have time for their safety to be debated
We have free will to be a part of the solution…or a part of the problem
My prayer now is that each of us will do what’s in our power to protect…
Our children…our loved ones…each other…from a variant that has been given the space…
And power to make our children ill…they need the adults in leadership…
And those in the places and spaces that they dwell in, to say "NO" to COVID, by protecting them
COVID uses our droplets to take people home before their time…don’t let it use yours…
And don’t let it use someone else’s...if you can help it...to take you home to Glory, before your time
We want to leave when God says it’s time…not because we feared the way of escape
Please take good care of yourself, those around you…and even those you don’t know
Some things we are in together...and can only get out of...together
