When I take a deep breath…
I’m reminded what it feels like when I can’t
When I’m able to walk for miles…
I’m reminded of what it feels like when I can’t
When I’m able to be in the presence of family and friends…
I’m reminded of what it feels like when I can’t
When I’m able to sing and not get dizzy…
I’m reminded of what it feels like when I can’t
When I’m able to close my eyes and not lose balance…
I’m reminded of what it feels like when I can’t
When I’m able to eat…clean food…and not get ill…
I’m reminded of what it feels like when clean may not be clean enough
When I’m able to work and serve…professionally and personally…
I’m reminded of what a blessing that really is…because it didn't have to be that way
I will never forget what it feels like…when I can’t…
Because that keeps me in a posture of ‘forever’ gratitude
It reminds me to never stop believing…
To never stop fighting to LIVE and not just exist
To know that even in illness and what the world calls a (dis)ability…
God can and will still use you…if you want Him to
He can heal you in mind, body and spirit…He will heal your heart…
But it’s not magical…we have to put in the work
Some days will be better than others…enjoy every minute of the better days
They will give you the inspiration you need for the other days
Some healing is miraculous…what ails us is here today, gone tomorrow
But some of us have to work for our healing…everyday
We have to do our part for the healing to take place…and remain in place
It’s on us…to do what needs to be done for our healing to show up…
To educate ourselves on what ails us and what we can do naturally to help ourselves
And then work the resources that God has created...
To work our way to our pathway of healing…
Sometimes it’s that daily journey of working to stay healthy…
That you find yourself…and your purpose
Don’t give up…fight to stay as healthy as you can
So that you can do all you can to fulfill the ‘why’ of your creation
We do what we can…and trust God with the rest
And on the days you feel well...dance...dance...dance...
On you feet...in a chair...in your mind...dance
